Welcome to Olivelli

home of great italian food since 1934

The London restaurateur who helped build the Pizza Express brand back in the 80s has just opened his Sicilian caffè - at Shad Thames. He launched the first at Highgate last summer and positive word of mouth soon put it on the map. Typical treats include irresistible savouries and patisserie and of course Paradiso's ice cream is the real thing, too, made to master chef Terranova's own recipe.

Ben'arrivati a Olivelli

Sicilian restaurateurs Giovanni and Salvatore Salamone opened their first Olivelli Paradiso restaurant in London's Store Street in 1993.

The restaurant took its name from its original owners (Rita and Enrico Olivelli) whose culinary 'paradise' in the heart of Bohemian London had become the Italian restaurant of choice since the '30s for famous actors and actresses of the London stage.

Since 1993 the Olivelli Paradiso group - now known simply as Olivelli - has gone from strength to strength. There are three restaurants - all in central London - and an expanding chain of Sicilian caffès. Caffè Paradiso opened at Shad Thames in 2007 and 28 Store Street in 2011!

The Olivelli reputation

The company's reputation for excellence is down to the Salamones' commitment to using the finest quality ingredients for traditional recipes sourced from Sicily in the south, right up to the northern tip of Italy. Nothing is left to chance which is why the dishes you'll find on the menu – including the TIME OUT recommended ice cream - are created only by Olivelli Paradiso chefs.

Our commitment to you

Wherever you see the name Olivelli Paradiso you are guaranteed a warm welcome from people who celebrate the art of preparing and serving wonderful food.
